About
I am a PhD candidate in Dr. David Samson’s Sleep and Human Evolution Lab at the University of Toronto. The question guiding my dissertation research is: How have humans adapted our sleep-wake patterns to respond to, and mitigate, risks? I integrate theories and methods from both social and natural sciences to answer this question.
I obtained my BA & Sc from McGill University in 2017, with double majors in Anthropology and Organismal Biology. I completed my MSc from the University of Toronto in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. Julie Teichroeb. My masters project looked at social foraging strategies in wild vervet monkeys in Uganda. My research interests lie at the intersection of human-environment interactions and human-wildlife coexistence, and I’ve been fortunate to conduct research on amazing species like giant pandas, domestic dogs, wolves, vervet monkeys, and big cats. Research activities aside, I like to go hiking, play volleyball, and cuddle with my cat, Pierogi.
